In the second quarter of 2024, the dining and restaurant mobile app landscape showed varied user engagement across leading platforms. Here's a glance at how five popular apps fared, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

McDonald’s - Non-US experienced a fluctuating download trend, starting at 18K in the first week of April and dipping to 3K by the end of the month. Downloads saw a resurgence to 17K in the first week of June, followed by a gradual decrease to 11K by the month's end. Weekly active users mirrored this pattern, peaking at 83K in early June before sliding down to 63K.

Subway - UK & I displayed a modest download count, beginning at 606 and reaching a high of 11K in the third week of May. This peak was followed by a downward trend, concluding at 3K by late June. Weekly active users started at 3.5K, peaked at 5.9K in late May, and then slightly decreased to 5K at the end of June.

Domino's Pizza Delivery saw a steady download pattern, maintaining figures around the 2K mark throughout the quarter, with minor fluctuations. Weekly active users began at 17K, dropped to 14K mid-quarter, and rebounded to almost 15K by the end of June.

Starbucks Ireland, while not generating revenue, had an initial download spike at 4K in mid-April, which then tapered off to around 1K by late June. The app did not report weekly active users for the quarter.

Costa Coffee Club Ireland showed consistent download numbers, with a small increase from 1.1K in early April to 1.3K in late April, then a decrease to under 1K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users saw a slight decline from 482 to 383 over the same period.
